Endodontic Treatments are Easier Than You Think!
Michelle Eng, DDS and our Laguna Niguel dental team want our patients to know that getting a root canal is gentler and more comfortable than you might have heard. While root canals of decade’s past have quite the bad rap, modern equipment and anesthetic use make getting a root canal almost like having a routine filling done.
Plus, our comfortable sedation dentistry options calm your anxiety by helping you enjoy ultimate relaxation throughout the entire process.
After Your Root Canal
One thing to keep in mind is that an endodontically treated tooth is no longer “alive,” because the nerve inside of it is removed (and the nerve canal sealed off.) This can make the tooth more brittle, so Dr. Eng will want to place a porcelain crown over it to preserve your bite’s integrity.
